10 Things You Learned From Kindergarden They'll Help You Understand All Terrain Stroller Best

The All Terrain Stroller Best For Parents

The UPPAbaby VISTA V2 stroller is an excellent option for parents looking for durability and versatility. Built to adapt to your family's needs as they grow, this stroller easily rolls across rough terrain.

Where will you likely use your stroller? Are there grassy parks sandy beaches, sandy beaches, or paths that are rocky? All terrain strollers can deal with these types of terrain.

Baby Jogger Summit X3

The Summit X3 is one of Baby Jogger's most loved strollers. It is a hybrid jogger/stroller which can be used for jogging or walking on any terrain. The large air-filled tires and all-wheel suspension provide a smooth ride for your baby. Its padded seat reclines almost flat and is approved for babies*. The vents on the top of the seat improves airflow while the seat is reclined. The adaptor included allows this model to be used with all infant car seat models. It comes with a signature one-hand compact fold that is super quick and simple.

It's on the more expensive side of all-terrain running strollers, like the BOBs. But it has many positive characteristics. Single-action brakes come with an reassuring click, and are simple to use, even when you are holding your child in your arms. The deceleration brake operated by hand is also handy, especially when you're climbing hills.

Another cool feature is the remote action swivel lock, located on the handlebar. It allows you to swiftly change from swivel mode to locked mode for running, without having to bend down and touch the front wheels, which can get dirty or get muddy. Once you're done, turn the lever to swivel mode.

The Baby Jogger Summit X3 features an enormous UV50+ canopy, along with side air vents, and windows that can be opened for peek-aboo. The canopy has ample coverage to shield your child from sun and can be adjusted to meet the changing conditions. It is rated to walk at 6 months, and jog until 9 months. It folds by pulling of the fabric handle on the seat, which is super simple and quick even while holding your child. When folded, it is compact and secured using the Velcro strap.

BOB Gear Alterrain Pro

The BOB Gear Alterrain Pro jogging stroller is a top-rated product with a superior suspension to ensure an easy ride for your child. SmoothShox is a technology exclusive to BOB Gear that absorbs bumps and jerks and reduces the impact on your child and you. The system is a notable difference from other competitors such as the Revolution Flex 3.0, which offers a fantastic adjustable suspension, but does not have the particular technology that is found on the Alterrain Pro.

The massive rear wheel of 16 inches and the front wheel measuring 12 inches of this jogger are designed to smoothly roll over uneven terrain and provide great maneuverability. The wheels are air-filled to provide extra comfort for your baby with the highest performance and durability.

The Alterrain Pro is easy-to-maneuver and requires a minimal amount of setup time, regardless of its weight. It also comes with a useful user manual and no tools are required to put together. The Alterrain Pro travel system is compatible with a variety of infant car seats that include those from Britax, UPPAbaby and Chicco.

Its sunshade scored higher than the rest we evaluated. It covers the knees, providing exceptional protection from harmful UV rays. It also has a cushioned seat that is sling-style and has a reclining back that is easy to operate by pressing down on a single lever with the use of a hand. The padded legrest extends to the plastic footrest, adding comfort. The Alterrain Pro has a sleek and modern design and is more refined than other models made by the brand. The aluminum frame tubing has minimal left-to-right flex and the stitching around the handlebar, canopy, and basket is neat and tidy, with no tangled up fasteners.

BOB Sport Utility

The stroller is available in either duallie or single versions for parents who are serious about their outdoor adventures. It is designed for off-road walking with knobby tires and a high-impact polymer wheel that increases the traction. The fixed front wheel helps with jogging stability and helps navigate difficult terrain. The adjustable suspension is state of the art and can handle any bumps. It has a handlebar which can be adjusted to accommodate parents of different heights, as well as an enormous storage basket to store everything you need to keep.

BOB Sport Utility scored 6 out of 10, which is behind only the BOB Ironman the top-rated model.  all terrain travel system  and oversized wheels make it easier to run with and its air-filled tires and suspension system better absorb the shock of rough surfaces, compared to the smaller tires on competing joggers (including our other BOB strollers including the Revolution Flex and the Thule Urban Glide 2 which both scored 9).

The Sport Utility is very good in its maneuverability, but isn't as easy to turn like other models in this review. It requires tilting the handlebar back in order to turn which is fine on flat surfaces but can make it difficult to navigate tight spaces such as grocery stores or cafes.

The BOB Sport utility comes with the same safety features most other joggers offer such as 5-point belts as well as a foot brake and hand brake. The BOB Sport Utility can also accommodate most infant car seat adapters which are sold separately. We found the brakes to be responsive and easy to operate, but we didn't love that you must step on a lever near the front seat to secure the front wheel. This can feel awkward while walking or jogging.

Baby Trend Expedition

This stroller is an excellent option for families on a budget. It has all the necessary safety specs, like five-point harnesses and a Tether straps, which will ensure your children's safety on outings. The handlebar has an extra-wide ergonomically shaped rubber grip and is cushioned with foam for comfort. This makes it easy to navigate the rough terrain and hills. It also has a large storage bin that can hold two or more drinks which is convenient when on long outings.

The Expedition is a jogger that carries infant car seats which makes it a great option for parents with small children. It's capable of affixing baby Trend and Graco infant car seats to the adapter for car seats included and also comes with a lockable front swivel wheel that can be unlocked for jogging or locked for effortless strolling. It also has the multi-position reclining chair and a large storage basket and footrest reflectors for enhanced low-light visibility.

The Expedition is not as good in certain categories as our top-scoring models. It doesn't have suspension to help absorb the impact of bumps and uneven terrain, which can be uncomfortable for kids who are young. Its metal wheels aren't as durable as strollers with a bigger tire diameter, so it's not a great option for areas that are frequently rough.

The canopy of the Expedition is rather small, so it doesn't provide much coverage or protection from sun. Despite these issues however, the Baby Trend Expedition is an excellent option for parents on a tight budget searching for a stroller that is all-terrain. It also comes with a number of convenient features, such as a tray for parents with cup holders, as well as a child's tray with two cup holders.

Nipper Sport V4: What You Need to Know

UK brand Out 'n' About has won legions of fans for its range of jogging buggies and this model is their top running buggy. It's lightweight and easy to steer, but it also comes with big, robust 16-inch wheels that tackle even the toughest terrain. It features a fixed front wheel, so it's easy to lock straight for running, however you can also use a lever on the handlebar to release and allow the wheel to swivel for easy strolling or hill climbing.

The suspension is great especially on bumpy and rocky bridleways. The only complaint was that the handlebar brake isn't as responsive as we'd like it to be, and the Nipper Sport V4 can't be used with a baby carrier or car seat (although it can accommodate an infant insert and has a compatible carrycot for occasional sleeping in the night).

It's pretty easy to construct - we completed it in just 10 minutes and found the directions easy to follow. The hood and seat lining have to be put on by you however it's not too difficult. It's just a matter of patience to thread the harness straps into respective slits on the cushioned seat liners. There's a medium-sized storage bag attached to the back of the seat but it's not big enough to accommodate the use of a changing bag.

The Out 'n' About Nipper Sport V4 can be used from birth, but it's recommended that you wait until your child is six months old before utilizing it for running. The harness is not tight enough to support a newborn comfortably, so you'll need to purchase an additional carrycot.
